The great Eternal, timeless, unceasing nature of experience expresses itself in ephemerality - it expresses as living and dying, the dynamism of the sky, the rushing of waters, the pain of birth and re-birth, the calm cohesion of a moment of stillness, the wind-whipped churn of energetic hurricanes- over and over again, eternally, in its own divine cosmic loop.

 

And yet, on the other side of the coin… 

In all the ephemeral that we express as- the changing, dynamic energy clusters that we find ourselves “inhabiting”- and, in all the ephemeral that we witness and experience - we find the Eternal.  

It’s unmistakable, perfectly knowable, yet utterly indescribable.  We feel it, somehow, in deep breaths - in forests - in the space between dreams - there is one extraordinary “thing” that animates it all, that IS reality itself - that has always been, and always will be - that, humorously and paradoxically, has manifest in our wide and varied flavors of expressing and being, but nonetheless is the uniting force of all creation.  It is celebrated in the living out of our apparent lives, in the pain and the beauty of it all.  And what’s crazy fabulous about it, is that it’s our truest essence - it’s not something we have to go out and find, it’s not something that requires anything of us, it doesn’t abide by religious rules or our personal preferences - it simply creates, with us as co-creators, and also with us as the paintbrushes.

 

Eternal.  Ephemeral.  We are each of these, and yet, BOTH at the same time.

 

I’ve found true healing in returning to that awareness.  The awareness that we are the {Eternal Ephemeral} - one unified dynamic I AM.  Even if, along the journey, we only recognize the truth of it in fits and starts, those little moments snowball and lead us into great newness!

 

Within this beautifully simple unified field that is god experiencing god, there are all sorts of very interesting, complex, at times tragic and at times hilarious patterns that arise.  Some call it Karma, others Fate, others kismet or coincidence.  Whatever the label, it seems as if something is calling to us, tugging on our leashes, or waiting behind the veil with open arms to welcome us into newer and newer becomings of ourselves - new temporary homes of our fullest being, within the twists and turns of our unfolding lives.  It is up to us to pick up the phone line to the other side - whether that’s using intuition, meditation, dreams, energy work, or Tarot - to listen to the whispers of change, the whistles of what is calling us into transformation. 

 

The nature of the Ephemeral - of our experience - eternally allows for nothing other than transformation and change.  Because it, itself, IS change.  Forever.

 

But don’t let that freak you out - because the good news is that ALL is made BRAND NEW, each and every instant.

 

That is the GOOD NEWS, the BEST news!

In reality- all is made new.  All the time. 

In that newness lies freedom - the greatest gift and the greatest grace of all!

 

 

... THE DECK ...

 

This deck, as Tarot inherently IS, is a tool for intuition.  But this deck is a little different from the traditional Tarot.  The suits are different, designed to surf the nitty gritty aspects of transforming and emerging into our newness.  Each card is placed as a stepping stone along the path of our lives, signaling events, realizations, and palpable shifts in energy. 

 

And there are many more major arcana cards than is traditional- a total of 56- all which describe energetic nuances inherent in the unseen, spiritual aspects of our journey towards integration with our nature as the Eternal Ephemeral.  

 

Within the deck are stories about finding our intuition- including cautionary tales about what happens when we’ve ignored our intuition, ignored red flags, and dove head first into situations that were the very opposite of right for us.

 

There are stories about our will, and how our drive towards free will often fights against what spirit is guiding us towards - stories about listening to the whispers of the divine, about learning to find faith and cultivate courage - stories about reclaiming our personal power and our worth - about letting things go, in order to grow - about knowing how to hold our value sacred to ourselves, and place our energies where we, and everyone, can thrive.

 

This deck is about talking to spirits, subtle energetic shifts, knowing when to hold on and when to surrender, finding joy through the pain, recognizing our shortcomings, and recognizing our powerful co-creative potential with the One Eternal thing.  

 

It’s about surfing the crests of all these many large and tiny waves that transformation brings us to - the opening of our hearts - coming back into the truth of our being -

 

Knowing that we ARE the ONE, the Eternal Ephemeral, and that - behold - we make all things new, and we are made new each moment.  

 

What the new may look like is completely uncertain- but the radiance of newness nevertheless shines exquisitely, with dynamism, with presence, and with LOVE.
