Minor Arcana
About The

Welcome to a NEW kind of Minor Arcana - four unique suits that spark greater insight into the spiritual awakening process. The Minor Arcana I have created differs from the traditional Minor Arcana in two key ways.
First, these are different symbols, with different meanings - and second, most importantly, each suit speaks to spiritual awakening in particular, focusing on nuanced, subtle facets of self development and learning that we may encounter in our lives. Each suit is a set of spiritual or intuitive messages designed to help us evolve through four common themes in spiritual growth - self expression, energy flow, personal power & freedom, and finding faith through transformation.
Flowers
Growth, Expression, & Authenticity
How we nurture growth and expression, what we create and how we
express in the world - what to let go of to thrive,
how to find our ideal environment, and authentic expression.
Cups
Energy Flow & Our Vessel
Our creative juice - how to tend to our energy, how to protect it,
and who or what deserves our energy.
Arrows
Personal Power & Freedom
Our free will and power - reclaiming our agency,
acting with purpose and bold confidence in the world.
Wings
Finding Faith & Intuition Through Transformation
Learning to lay down our ego, trusting the pull of Spirit to
transform us into new expressions with a new purpose.
The Minor Arcana represents the subtle underbelly of what may be behind or beneath events in our lives. It describes feelings, textures, and energies to take notice of. It’s about getting curious, and being willing to playfully learn tough lessons, ultimately serving our evolution into something beyond beautiful.
Consider each suit’s thematic journey as a cycle of learning along the spiral of becoming. As we grow, certain lessons seem to be learned that allow us us to “unlock” the next level that awaits us. Once we learn authentic expression (in Flowers), we then must learn how to use our creative power in ways that benefit us, as well as our community (in Cups) - we must then understand our own power, and take that into our own hands in order to bring what we desire into fruition with confidence and authenticity (in Arrows). And finally, in order to transform, we must learn to understand how our egos are standing in the way of Spirit’s desire to make us new, and grow in faith as we transform into beings capable of the greatness that the ONE wants to bring through us (in Wings).

Of course, in reality, our paths do not follow the narrative arc of each of these suits cleanly. Rather, our spiritual paths are like a squiggly spiral, passing over multiple themes and territories all at once, skipping certain parts altogether, and finally re-visiting them later along the journey. None of this is linear, but cumulative - in encountering one sort of energy “higher up” whatever perceived level of awareness that we attain, we often have to get knocked back down in order to un-learn and re-learn something that we never encountered (of a perceived lesser caliber).
That’s not failure, even if we might perceive it as such - that’s learning organically. Every spiritual path jumps around, and every single one of us learns different things, for different reasons, at different times - it is part of the rich tapestries that we create. Though I have laid out an “order” of these lessons within these four suits, it is just the order I would rather have learned them -lolz - a clean, poetic interpretation of something extremely messy, disorderly, unusual, and adventurous indeed! As much as we wish our paths would make sense, sometimes they don’t. And that may be the most comforting thing of all - there is no right or wrong way to walk this path. If your life is spiritual, the ENTIRETY is - the joy, the shitty phone call, the strangeness of the liminal - the feeling of being confused, tumbled around, and flipping right side up somehow - all of it gets to be there, and all of it is sacred.
So, wherever you are on your squiggly spiral of becoming, unfolding, and discovering your own inner mystery, please have FUN! These cards attempt to bring a voice to as many beautiful, strange, and in-between sensations as possible, so let them ping your curiosity, and enjoy the ride!

...... How To Use The Minor Arcana Cards ......
Whether you decide to enjoy the visuals without the written interpretation, OR go “by the book” in terms of the interpretation of these cards, is completely up to you! You may find your own unique intuitive hits based on the image or the phrase on the card, that departs from the written meaning of the card, and that’s fantastic. What is true for the reader is known only TO the reader, so use your own playful sense of freedom to engage with the images and writing - take what works, and leave the rest!
