Power From The Source

Arrows is the story of reclaiming out personal power - from giving our power away & becoming wounded, to finding power in the Divine and exercising our agency with a big heart and plenty of wisdom.​

What is our personal power?  Having power feels like...

​

"I am in charge of my own life - 

​

I am in charge of how I feel (emotionally, energetically),

​

I am in charge of what I decide to DO - with my time, energies, efforts."

​​

​

But - ALL TOO OFTEN, in this modern world, we give our power away - even without realizing it - outsourcing our agency to systems, organizations, culture, individuals, or vibrations that assure us that they have our best interests at heart.

​

We are coerced into thinking that buying into a certain ethos will make us feel part of a team, worthy, righteous, or valuable.

​

How often have you...

Stayed SMALL or voluntarily TRAPPED in situations

that DON'T ALLOW YOU to experience your OWN agency?

​

Relied on OTHER PEOPLE, situations, or energies

to PROVE YOUR VALUE to YOURSELF?

​

ALLOWED OUTSIDE INFLUENCES to tell you

who or what YOU ARE, or what you should care about?

​

We do these things because we have FEAR - fear that we alone are not powerful enough - that we need the other to validate our existence.  And we experience the illusion of separation - the idea that we are lone consciousnesses and energy clusters in this universe, and we must band together and associate with the other in order to give us power.

​

But what if I told you that, in the eyes of the Divine - God, The Cosmic ONE, Source - we ARE enough?  We are NOT separate - and that the connection to the One Cosmic Creator grants us all the power we desire?  All creativity, all impulse, all self-assuredness, all momentum and energy, is available to us when we bathe ourselves in the inherent unity of all that is.  We are valued and validated, because we are created by the One.  We are connected to UNITY - we can find our confidence in that wholeness.  And once we do, we can move powerfully with the agency that is granted by the One.

This suit is also about gaining wisdom and discernment from falling down - A LOT.  Getting hurt, A LOT.  Being stabbed in the back, betrayed, having our own power used against us, A LOT.  

​

Each card is a lesson in power dynamics that I have personally learned through my own personal spiritual journey - none of which was easy.  But, the journey from naivety to wisdom is certainly full of useful pains.  Every heartbreak becomes valuable, once you're on the other side of decades of those hard lessons.  All of us experience these power games in our lives - and all of us should thank the people who harmed us, for they have given us lessons to become empowered, strong warriors of the heart.

​

Naivety may die along the way, but a robust idealism, empowered by empathy and purity of intent, doesn't have to.  Realism replaces the once childlike, blind faith we carried - self abandonment gets replaced by self LOVE - and all the betrayals of trust make us into people who will stand up for what is good in the world, fight for the light, and do it with the wisdom of good and evil.
