The Journey

What we hold tightly can be the very thing that causes suffering.  Being addicted to certainty never helps us - overthinking, hyper-vigilance, and rumination keep us stuck in imaginary futures, and replaying inacurate pasts, not present in the now.  Stop trying to calculate the outcome, and just rest in un-knowing.  This feels scary at first, but is ultimately a doorway towards lasting inner peace that is indestructible, come what may!

✨Has all your over-thinking ever helped you?  Have your dozens of possible calculations about an outcome ever turned out to be the TRUE outcome?

✨How might it transform your nervous system, to stop trying to figure it all out - and instead, rest in un-knowing?  While addressing that you may be facing complex, unfolding, and evolving situations, how can you release control and allow what comes to naturally be realized?

✨Think of a moment where you allowed spontaneous outcomes instead of leaning on over-analysis - what was that situation like for you?  How can you apply that to other situations in your life?

It can feel extremely frightening to let go of our anxieties and accept that we cannot know what lies ahead.  There are several reasons why this scares us - perhaps we feel that not planning for what's ahead leaves us unprepared - perhaps we find it irresponsible not to be ten steps ahead - perhaps we would feel guilty if we didn't try to have some understanding of what is possible, or lazy for not knowing the potential map for trails ahead.  In some situations, yes - these are valuable things to do.  But when practicality turns into obsessiveness, it's time to step back and say "we'll cross that bridge when we get to it."
